Carpet Diem, Part III

We have wall to wall carpet coverage! And more!

Here is a blog post showing some of the self-leveling concrete and finishing work we did, in case you are interested. I wanted to make sure I had some pictures of the work we did.

Here are photos and videos of our "Under the Sea" Valentine's Day party. It was fun! I thought it was great having Sam and Regan there! (Mom and Dad, I recommend Susie & Enoch's underwater performance, if nothing else.)

Here are some photos I took at one of Miriam's performances, just so I'd have some photos.

Miriam now wants to be in the Jaks production of Les Miserable. I am not thrilled by that. She refused to apply for any college or schooling, and now wants to be the star of kiddie shows. I understand that she likes it, which is nice. But, she doesn't keep up on her school work (she is just a whiff away from not graduating), and doesn't work when she is in a show. She expects us to pay for her gas and insurance while she rehearses and performs. Perhaps she is just trying to avoid growing up, and figures that we will let her live in our home doing childish things forever. That is sad. 

I will do my best to be kind but teach and encourage and council--rather than blow up and threaten, which seems more appropriate sometimes. But, I have this fear that if I behave bad, she will look-up the address of my wicked sister, Ursula ... and then who knows what might happen?

If she does do the show, performances will occur during the first week of June, which means family vacation that week won't occur unless we leave Miriam home.
