I found this short video about the how BYU is actually able to do volumetric imaging now -- super, super cool stuff. It is the next step beyond a hologram: like the image of Princess Leia that R2D2 displays.
Susie might. Daniel Smalley was one of my favorite Sunday School students in Manti, Utah. We were friends.
I helped him get his Space Exploration merit badge, and as we discussed things I asked him what he wanted to do for a living. He told me he wanted research holograms. He got a scholarship to MIT, and ... he is beyond holograms now.
Wow.
