President Nelson, Pope Francis and Rabbi Yahuda Krinsky Walk into a Bar ...

... And the bartender asks "What is this? Some kind of joke?"

Some kind of joke, yes.

Esther is 5 today! Gideon was able to visit and attend her party, and it was fun to see him.

Gideon explains the awesome power of the Pixie Stick.
Esther enjoys some of her bounty.
Miriam did not attend the party because she was at the Sweatheart's Ball. She bought a beautiful dress. Of course, I did not get a picture of that. It was a bit too long, so Susan tried to alter it at the last minute but ended up making both a mess and Miriam late. They quickly unpicked all the seams and sent her on her way with a overly long dress. But, Miriam seemed in good spirits and had fun at the dance. She hurt her back though, and has a difficult time sitting down right now.

Andrew also went to the multi-stake dance. Just a few months ago he utterly refused to go, but no he goes and enjoys them.

While Gideon was here we stopped at the McCune's house to see Matt's new electronic drum set. It is very, very nice. I would be more jealous if I didn't have a decent set of my own. But, the first thing Gideon noticed as we went in was a Book of Mormon themed statue, and Gideon exclaimed "I know who made this!" Matt responded that he did if he knew his mother-in-law, and Gideon then wondered if he was right. One of us then asked where his mother-in-law lived, and he said "Bremerton, Washington". Gideon did know them. He knew Liz McCune's parents, the Espinozas, very well! How fun!

Rachel, Esther and I also went to the Daddy-Daughter dance at the elementary school Friday while Susie went to our stake's Feast Week.

A poor photo of a so-so photo.
Are we related to Woody AllenEdna Mode?
I might send more of Esther's silly pictures later.

The other day, Esther reminded me that she used to call Charles and Bryony ... something ... that she couldn't remember. The answer is Chinese and Whiny, which is awesome. Let us never forget that.

Your YW presidency spoke in church today and did a fantastic job. I love our ward.

And, finally, a nice tip of the hat to Isaac who found super cheap airfare to Italy -- that Susan and I will not use. We couldn't see how to leave for Italy in the middle of the school year. But, Isaac, thank you for thinking about us!
