A Fish Swims into a Bar ...

... and says "Dam!"

That's another DVB special, folks!

I want to send some photos from very enjoyable Valentine's Day party this year. I will get to it.

But, in the meantime, I thought I would just point out little things that I found odd, humorous, awesome or disturbing.
  • The other day I woke Enoch and Joshua up for scripture reading and Enoch accused (for about 15 minutes) of waking him up at "the wrong six o'clock."
  • On Valentine's Day, Susan and I drove up to Logan to hear Gideon sing with the USU Chamber Singers and some other groups. It was really, really well done.
  • Friends of Scouting is a royal pain in the bongolas, mostly because so few people are willing to help.
  • While working on my computer on February 22nd, I went to look up the date to make sure it was the twenty-second day of the month, and the time showing in the bottom right corner of my computer screen was 2:22. That discombobulated me for about five seconds, then I blinked a few times and smiled. (If deity was giving me a sign, I completely missed the meaning.)
  • Andrew is close to getting his Eagle Project approved. He had Central Davis Junior High's principle sign his official papers and hopes to have the district sign off tonight. In a nutshell, it is move and organize all the old set pieces that are stacked in one room of the armory to new temporary storage pods. Go Andrew!
  • The CDJH principal asked Andrew to get him some quotes on storage Pods. I find this odd. The director and others were talking about this plan before The Lion King was over, and the principal was part of those discussions. Andrew has been planning this project since the end of the last school year. And no one with knowledge of the school budget ever thought to find out how much the pods would cost? I wonder if anything will really happen!
  • A person in our ward ran to the Bishop a few hours before he flew out of town to tell the Bishop that her gas had been shut off because she hadn't paid it. The Bishop has worked with this person for years, trying to help her understand the need to take care of problems before they are disasters, but to no avail. Not only did this person wait that long, but she also didn't bring the bill to give to the Bishop. So, he arranged to have her take it to me for payment. I did so, and did the extra work of making sure it was direct deposited. And, I have now discovered that the gas was not turned back on because she only gave me the first of three or four very overdue bills. I feel like I am re-living my days as a case worker in Manti.
Ciao!
