Dishwasher Death Wish

This is soooooo not worth a picture. But, I am sending one anyway.

Do you recognize this space?

Yes, this is where our dishwasher used to live. But, he died, and has gone to "sleep with the dishes". (See what I did there? It isn't very good, is it?)

I really don't like to criticize the departed, as just having such an appliance is a good thing. But, he was causing problems. The top rack was broken. The silverware basket was broken and utensils kept falling through. We had to reset the programming frequently, and sometimes it just seemed to stop. The door gasket looked like it was about the give way and flood the kitchen.

So, when the heating element went out, I decided to not replace the things that needed replacing. The dishwasher didn't die: I just put him out of my misery.

And into Susan's.

We found a cheap black one at Lowe's that we liked in stock, but I convinced her to go with a better and fancier and pricier model. We hope it is ready to tomorrow, but there is no guarantee. So, in the meantime, we are doing dishes by hand--especially Susie.

I might also mention that I forgot to put the rubber outtake hose up when I removed Old Slosh, so when she was washing dishes some water came out the hose and splashed onto her. Sorry!
