Benge Family Reunion (June 2018)

The view from our lodge.
Another view from the lodge: looking down, not across.
The Schlenskes brought their horses!
Lucy is often around the animals.
Playing with the cousins.

A fish Corbin caught.
Lucy, Rachel, Joshua and I took a short hike up to a small reservoir above the one our lodge was near. This one had a lot of fish like the one shown above.
Kirk led us to a cave dwelling near Blanding that was fun to explore.
The hike was beautiful and not too long for the little ones.

If you look carefully, you can see a Ford E350 Van hiding in the wild across the valley.
We also visited a little park/museum called "Nations of the Four Corners" on the outskirts of Blanding.
It was very warm when we visited, so we often rested in the shade of the reproduced dwellings.

This is a nice viewpoint up the mountain from the lodge.
There is a reason they call the mountain range we live a the Rocky Mountains.
Beautiful view looking South.
There is no way my phone can do justice to the beautiful view of the National Park below. This is on the other side of Blue Mountain, up the road from Monticello.
Before heading home, we stopped in Bluff, which has a nice park honoring the "Hole-In-The-Rock" pioneers. Many of these intrepid travelers are Susie's ancestors.

This is why Esther has the middle name she has.
I didn't realize there was an Enoch with the Guymon family. I wonder how he is related exactly.

It was great seeing Bret. We don't get to see him very often.

The men.
