"He spoke very highly of it."
Thank Isaac for that one! He texted me the short joke and I thought "I bet I can turn that into a lame 'walked into a bar' joke! I was correct!
I have a short, five-minute video I think you might want to watch. I can't vouch for Dr. Dispenza's overall works or anything, but this rang true to me.
I see my self suffering sometimes from thinking in the past. I recognized some of that with children's anxieties over starting school. Are we looking forward and making plans for the future, or do we tie ourselves to fears of the past?

What do you think? When we get a chance, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
It brought to mind Paul's counsel to Timothy: "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." Generally speaking, thoughts about past bad experiences are not of God: worry, resentment, angst, etc.
I also thought about Moroni chapter 7, where Mormon tells us how to judge. Do our feelings lead us to serve and love God? If so, they are good. The uncomfortable feeling of fear is not that feeling of God. We should cast that out. We have a perfect way to judge what comes of God and what doesn't. We shouldn't mistake feelings of "I don't feel like it" and "I don't want to" with ennobling and Christlike feelings and perspectives! We should apply our faith and look forward.
For your ease, I will quote here verses 16-21, but I recommend the entire chapter (of course--and the Book of Mormon as whole):
16 For behold, the Spirit of Christ is given to every man, that he may know good from evil; wherefore, I show untoyou the way to judge; for every thing which inviteth to dogood, and to persuade to believe in Christ, is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ; wherefore ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of God.
17 But whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do evil, and believe not in Christ, and deny him, and serve not God,then ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of the devil; for after this manner doth the devil work, for hepersuadeth no man to do good, no, not one; neither do his angels; neither do they who subject themselves unto him.
18 And now, my brethren, seeing that ye know the light by which ye may judge, which light is the light of Christ, see that ye do not judge wrongfully; for with that same judgment which ye judge ye shall also be judged.
19 Wherefore, I beseech of you, brethren, that ye should search diligently in the light of Christ that ye may know good from evil; and if ye will lay hold upon every good thing, and condemn it not, ye certainly will be a child of Christ.
20 And now, my brethren, how is it possible that ye can lay hold upon every good thing?
21 And now I come to that faith, of which I said I would speak; and I will tell you the way whereby ye may lay hold on every good thing.
I love you! Take care and God speed!
