Alan Watson, R.I.P.

 Alan is a friend of mine.

I heard he passed away from a Facebook link from his daughter, but couldn't find an obituary. I remembered to look again this morning and found it, and I am sad to have already missed yesterday's funeral.

Alan lived just down the road from me in Fairview, Utah, and was in my graduating class. We weren't really close, having different interests and hobbies. And, I only lived in Fairview for a year. But, we played church basketball together, and had a friendly relationship when we saw each other at school and activities.. He was a kind and good person, and I enjoyed being with him.

Years ago, I bumped into him at a local grocery store near where I live. He lived not too far away. I came out of the store and he recognized me and called to me. I am so glad he did! I believe he worked for one of the sanitation services in Northern Utah.

Rest in peace, my friend.
