Lookin' good:
We worked hard Saturday, and the ship/castle is mostly ready for the show. I repaired a bunch of the props we purchased (including the small boat Joshua is walking in front of -- that's why it is being painted),taped and finished the set, hung curtains ... it was good.
Next week they will paint the floor, and we need to attach the scrim to the line that can be lowered from the ceiling. We ran out of time, but I think the crew can handle that while I'm gone.
At work we finally decided on a physical data model for our new project that has been a real bear to figure out. I felt some revelation in the organizing of it, for which I am grateful. I will spare you the excruciatingly boring details, but it was nice to see some real progress as well as some guiding influence.
And at home we have a water softener all set up. It is a leaking waste water valve, and I will be getting a repair kit for that soon. But, other than that, it is set up and we are enjoying soft water.
That's about all the news I have, I think. It's been busy. And there is much more to do in the spring: tree trimming, turning over the garden, fixing (and I want to update) the sprinkler system, etc. I'm glad there are good and rewarding things to do.
Oh, and I got a decent pay raise this week, for which I am very, very thankful. Inflation is making things tough! Hang in there, y'all! I love you so very much!
