This morning, we were reading in 3rd Nephi, chapter 3. Esther read verse 11, and were it read that Lachoneus wrote an epistle, Esther made it sound like "latch-on-yous espittle". We couldn't help but laugh. Then, in the next verse, Joshua read that Lachoneus was "just a man" instead of "a just man". Good, righteous humor this morning!
A while back, Susie asked Lucy and Rachel to take a neighbor family some food, as the mother was bed-ridden. When they returned, Lucy said she hoped she took it to the right house, as she didn't recognize the family, and asked if the father had a beard. No. Susie had fixed some extra so I took Lucy to the Steed home -- the right one -- and gave them the food. I then apologized for the lack of dessert, and encouraged him to visit his neighbor as it had been delivered to him.
I asked Lucy what the bearded man said when she gave him the food. She said that he said something like "Thank you! Are you just going around to random people giving away food?" And Lucy said she nodded and said "yeah"!
The other day Enoch wanted someone to come to him, so he said "please pass your body". I loved it!
During our Sunday family "Come, Follow Me" study, one suggestion was to draw a picture of what we thought the Moroni-directed Nephite fortifications looked like. Esther didn't exactly follow instructions, instead drawing a battle:
I love the scoreboard!
Esther's is better than mine, and I even went back in time and took a picture:
Rachel and Esther both drew skeletons. Esther asked Susie, "which one is better?"
Here are some photo-heavy (with some video, too) blog posts I put up recently. I'm trying to get to our vacations, too! Check them out!
Esther came to be a couple of days ago and said "I look like that one picture, except blue!" I am pretty sure she meant the ubiquitous Wicked poster. And I agree, as that is what it reminded me of even though there is no skull in the Wicked poster:
Check out some other blog posts with pictures and video. I'm getting to our vacations. Really!
- Valentine's Day, 2020
